Cheerleading Positions in Cheerleading The Flyer The flyer is the person that is getting picked up or the person on the top. The flyer has to be really strong who can hold their own weight. The Bases The bases are the person who lift and throw the flyer. A stunt can't exist without bases. Mostly stunts will have each of the bases holding one of the flyers feet. Bases have to hold the flyers feet at the same level or height, if they don't that could cause the flyer to fall. Bases are usually tall and stronger than the flyer. Rules in Cheerleading be kind to everyone
before doing any cheers you have to warm up
have to wear running shoes
never do a stunt without a teacher or the coach watching you
don't talk while doing the cheers
hair has to be tied, could be in a ponytail
no jewelry allowed
wear clothing that is comfortable ( no jeans) The spotter The spotter is the person who stabilizes and catches the flyer when they fall. They have to keep looking at the flyer the whole time. Some Stunts in Cheerleading Scorpion The scorpion is when you get one leg, put it where the back of your head is and your other hand has to touch your foot too.
