Invention

The very first computer was invented by a British mechanical engineer and polymath named Charles Babbage.. Method of Babbage
Babbage planned to find a new method by making it mechanically, removing the error. He hired a man named Joseph Clement to oversee construction of the engine. Every part was formed by hand using custom machines which Babbage himself designed.

Babbage invented the difference engine to compile mathematical tables. His idea was to make a better machine, not just one mathematical task, but any kind of calculation.
