Definition of Terms
is a presentation graphics application. A presentation is a combination of slides, handouts, notes, and outlines all in one file. You can add text, graphics, photos, clip art, sound and video to your slides.
PowerPoint
Animations in Microsoft PowerPoint refer to the way that items, such as text boxes, bullet
points or images move onto a slide during a slide show.

Custom Animation is a feature in Microsoft
Office PowerPoint. It contains a list of effects
that you can apply to objects to have them
animate during the slide show
Task pane
Task Pane a window within the application that provides commonly used commands.

Custom Animation is a feature
in Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
It contains a list of effects

Exit effects animate object so that it leaves the slide show.
Motion Paths animate object by moving it from one position to
another.

Click on the down - facing arrow at the top of the task pane.
Creating Custom
Animation
From the slide tabs select the
slide to which you wish to add
our custom animation.
From the drop - down
menu that appears,
choose
Custom
animation
.
PowerPoint will
display the Custom Animation task
pane view.

Adding Custom
Animation
On your slide, click on the first object that you wish to animate.
On the task pane,
click on the button
labeled
Add Effect
.
From the drop - down menu that appears, choose an animation to apply.
Animation Effects
Emphasis
Emphasis effects animate object on the spot during slide show.
Entrance
Entrance effects animate object so that it enters the slide show.

To Set Direction
Under the Modify in
the Custom Animation pane, click on the down pointing arrow of
Direction
.
Choose the side of the
slide from which you
want the title to enter.
To Set Speed
Under the Modify in
the Custom Animation pane, click on the down pointing arrow of
Speed
.
Choose the speed you want
to apply on your animation.
Slide
An individual screen in a slide show.
A series of slides displayed in sequence.
Slide show
To Remove an
Animation Effect:
Select the text or object on the slide you wish to modify.
Click on the Custom animation task pane where your animations will be seen.
From the custom animation task pane click on the animations you want to remove
Click Remove.
The animation label
will disappear
