4. Reading Comprehension / Join a Group
First, study the Language Learning materials.

Remember that these exercises are self-correcting, so there is no need to turn them in to your teacher.

Make note of useful grammar and vocabulary for your oral and written work.
Any time during CA1, you can complete the optional speaking activity in Langblog.

Take this opportunity to get some extra speaking practice!
Write a contribution following the guidelines. Be sure to:

use a spell checker
use paragraphs
answer the question

Post your contribution in the CA1 Gap Year Travel folder in your classroom's Forum.
Read the other students' contributions in your classroom's Forum.

Comment on two or more of your colleagues' contributions. If you agree or disagree, explain why, or tell your own story of a similar experience.
Following the instructions in the guidelines and your teacher's video, make an audio or video recording and post it in Langblog.

Remember that you should prepare what you say, but you
must not read from a script
- speak clearly and naturally for about one minute.
Listen to your classmates' recordings in Langblog, and then comment on two or more of your classmates' contributions.

Perhaps you've had a similar experience or have some advice - share it with them!
Complete the Reading Comprehension Exercise by the deadline. Be sure to press the SUBMIT button at the end!

You should also join a group before CA2 using your classroom's ClassWiki. It's
very important
that you do this
before CA2
