Charlie Parker was born on August 29 1920 in Kansas city
His parents were Charles and Addie Parker
He was an only child
His dad was not around most of the time but when he was he would give him tips in how to play Charlie Parker (Childhood/Schooling/Upbringing)
Charlie attended Lincoln High school
When he was in school he took lessons their
He played the saxophone in the school band (Childhood/Schooling/Upbringing)
Charlie attended Lincoln High school.
When he was in school he tool music lessons.
In the school band he played the saxophone at age 15. (Young-Adult Years)
Played jazz music in night clubs.
Charlie was in many bands and played the saxophone with them.
Charlie decided he should go to New York to become a professional musician.
He wrote his music mastered how to play it for performances. 1995 he gave his last performance before he died on March 12 in New York
One of his famous pieces were“Embrace you”
He was addicted to heroin, alcoholism then got mentally ill
He remarried 3 times and all of his marriages were ruined by drugs.
