Transcript of The Grid

THE GRID
In this presentation, we introduce students to
the biggest questions they will ever ask.
What is real?
Where do I come from?
Who am I?
What is right and wrong?
Why am I here?
What happens when I die?
THE GRID
Overview of the six questions
What is a worldview?
These questions are then used as a framework for investigating different worldviews throughout sessions.
What is real?
What is right and wrong?
What is my purpose?
Who am I?
What happens when I die?
Where do I come from?
THE CASE
the Historical Evidence
for the Resurrection of
Jesus Christ
In this presentation, we investigate...
THE ELEMENTS
In this presentation, we use the six questions to investigate...
the belief that only the natural world exists
Naturalism
THE FORCE
In this presentation, we use the six questions to investigate...
Spiritualism
the belief that only the spiritual world exists
THE MIX
SO WHAT?
Christianity
the belief that both the natural and spiritual worlds exist and were created by God
Our final session helps students to understand why it's important to learn about other worldviews. We also ask students to ask themselves, "Do I live like a Christian? Or do my actions show that I really believe in Naturalism or Spiritualism?"
In this presentation, we use the six questions to investigate...
Is it possible to be sure that He truly rose from the dead?
What's the evidence for the chief claim of Christianity?

What does the word "Christian" even mean? And is being a Christian actually worth all the sacrifice? If so, how should our actions and priorities change?
Our sessions are truly unlike any others
students have experienced before.
Our goal is to help students stop renting their faith. We want them to own it.

And we ask students to ask themselves...
"Do I live as if God doesn't exist?"
In other words, are my actions saying that I don't believe there's a God?
And we ask students to ask themselves...
"Do I only follow my heart?"
In other words, do I live life solely by my emotions and feelings, rather than according to Wisdom?
We bring a team of speakers so that each person only speaks for a few minutes at a time.
We spend time with students outside of the presentations in order to get to know them and connect on a deeper level.
Our presentations are
interactive and engaging.

Questions
Story-time
e.g.
why?
Changing voices increases attention and reduces boredom.
e.g.
at lunch, during sporting events, after school,
at youth group, in small groups, in classes
(when permitted), and whenever they invite us to!
We connect the material to students' everyday lives and make it relevant by pointing out similar ideas in current popular media (songs, videos, movies, magazines, etc.).
60+
# of media examples in The Grid!

We also offer sessions for parents, teachers, pastors, and the student government, as well as more detailed classroom discussions and sermons.
why?
We desire to foster a community in which students can thrive as Christians. What better way to incite change than to incorporate those who have the most influence in students' lives?

When comparing these three worldviews, it becomes apparent that Christianity provides the best explanation for reality and that the Gospel offers incredible hope to the world.
