Abraham Lincoln, the Civil War and Slavery. Abraham Lincoln was remembered by being the 16nth president of U.S. He was also a polite, smart man and loved to read. Abraham Lincoln loved to help with farming. He was an advocate for the end of slavery. We hope you learn something about Slavery, Abraham Lincoln & the Civil War from our presentation (: On March 6, Abraham Lincoln gave an important speech about slavery. Abraham Lincoln wanted to stop slavery, but some people did not want to give up their slaves. He had several debates about slavery. Here are some examples of him trying to stop slavery and his speech.... On April 12 the Civil War began.
Why did it start??????????????? It started because the American people wanted to split America into North and south. Here are some pictures of the civil war.... This is the split of America. Abraham Lincoln said "If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that". He also had several (lots) of debates on slavery with Stephen A. Douglas. And one day I hope you can tell other people facts and information about Abraham Lincoln & Civil War!!!!!!!!!
