Heterogeneous Mixture
Unevenly mixed
Can be separated by filtering, evaporating, sorting and magnetism
Parts are different
Example:
Air
Gravel
Compound
Solution
Suspension
Colloid
Made up of at least two fixed amounts
Properties of compound differ from the element it is made from
Has two capital letters in the formula
Example:
Table Salt (NaCI)
Water (H2O)
Tiny sized particles
Doesn't settle in layers
