No one knows the actual date that William Shakepsear was born in, although scholars believe it was on the 23 of April 1564, if this is true then William Shakespeare died on his 52nd birthday !! Music From The English Renaissance The Renaissance - William Shakespeare Music was very important to Shakspeare, he referred to it well over 300 times in his workings His surviving works, including some collaborations, consist of about 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. Did you know....?? William Shakespeare's family were all illiterate!! 'Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.' William Shakespeare 'Better a witty fool than a foolish wit.' William Shakespeare William Shakespeare invented well over 1,700 words, many critics credit him with over 10,000 words ?! Did you know....?? What is so good about Shakespeare? 1582- On the 28th of November, Shakespeare
married Anne Hathaway

1583- Around the 26th of May, their 1st child was
born (Susanna)

1585- Around the 2nd of February, their 2nd and
3rd children (twins) were born (Hamnet and
Judith)

1589- Shakespeare wrote his first plays, 'Henry VI
parts 1,2 and 3

1592- The first outbreak of the plague

1596- On the 11th of August, Hamnet died from the
plague

1598- The Globe theatre was built. It was finished
in 1599

1601- William's father, John Shakespeare, died

1603/4- 30,000 people died of the plague in London 1607- On the 5th of June, Sussana Shakespeare
married John Hall

1613- On the 29th of June, The Globe theatre was
burnt down

1614- The Globe was rebuilt and reopened on the
30th of June, 1 year and 1 day after it was
burnt

1616- On the 10th of February, Judith Shakespeare
married Thomas Quiney
- On the 25th of March, Shakespeare signed his
will
- On the 23rd of April, Shakespeare died on his
52nd birthday
- On the 25th of April, Shakespeare was
burried at the Holy Trinity Church. He left
his wife his second best bed
