Immortals by Fall out Boy
This song is based on the best selling movie in the world, Big Hero 6. This movie came out in November, 2014. This song is written by a few writers, Patrick Stump Pete Wentz Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley
Lost Boy
This song is based off of the lost boys in the classic movie, Peter Pan. This song does not have a music video, and the singer, Ruth B is not very popular. How this song became so popular is that, Youtuber and Viner, Ruth B, made a vine about her song, Lost Boy. Since it became so popular, she made it into a full song and now it's popular in the media.

Why this song?
I chose this song because I liked the movie Peter Pan, and when I found out that this song had been based on the movie I wanted to chose this song for this project. Plus I like how peaceful the song sounded and I like the singer, Ruth B.

The meaning

Why I chose this song is because I really like the movie, Big Hero 6. Also because I really like the band that plays this song, Fall out Boy. I chose this song because I find that it has a strong meaning that you should be yourself and don't listen to other's people's opinions.
Why this song?
The meaning
The meaning of this song is to be yourself and to not to listen to others. Also, the lyrics say, "They say we are what we are, But we don't have to be". That part shows that the meaning means to be yourself. Also, the meaning is that we will never be immortal, but the good we do around the world will never die.
Lyrics
How the music blends in with the lyrics is that the lyrics itself shows a lot of strength and it's very loud. The music adds more sound and makes it even louder. Some instruments that are used are drums, guitars, vocals, etc. Why I think they chose these instruments is that they thought that these instruments would make this song louder and make the song seem more exciting, so it's interesting. I can't really identify many instruments because most of the music is electrical. That's why some people don't agree with this song because they say it's not really music.
Loser like me
This song is based off things people go through during school. It's known as the Glee theme song because it represents the things they went through in the show, like bullying and being treated like outcasts. The song was written by Adam Anders and Max Martin. It was performed by Glee (Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Heather Morris and Naya Riviera).

Lost boy lyrics
Yeah, you may think that I'm a zero (Huh)
Hey, everyone you wanna
be
Probably started off like
me

You may say that I'm a freak show (I don't care)

Hey, give it just a little time
I bet you're gonna change your mind

All of the dirt you've been throwing my way
It ain't so hard to take
(That's right)
Cause (I know one day you'll be screaming my name)
And i'll juat look away
That's right
Just go ahead and hate on me and run your mouth
(So everyone can hear)
Hit me with the worst you've got and knock me down
(Baby, I don't care) Keep it up and soon enough you'll figure out

You wanna be, you wanna be
A loser like me
A loser like me

Push me up against the locker
And

Hey, all I do is shake it off
I'll get you back when I'm your boss

I'm not thinking 'bout you haters
Cause

Hey, I could be a
superstar
I'll see you when you wash my
car

All of the dirt you've been throwing my way
It ain't so hard to take
That's right

And I'll just look away

Immortals lyrics
Loser Like Me

Why this song?
I choose this song because it has a really good message and I really like the show: Glee witch is where this song is from.
The meaning
The meaning of this song is that it doesn't matter who you are, you can make it and don't let bullies put you down.
Lost boy by Ruth B
Loser like me by Glee
We could be
immortals, immortals
Just not for long, for long.
We could be
immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
(Immortals)
They say we are what we are
But we don't have to be
I'm
B
ad
B
ehavior
B
ut I do it in the
B
est way I'll be the watcher (watcher) of the eternal flame I'll be the
guard dog

of all your fever dreams

Oooooooh

I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass
(glass, glass)
Ooooooohh
I try to picture me without you but I can't
'Cause we could be
immortals, immortals
Just not for long, for long.
And live with me forever
now
,
You pull the blackout curtains
down
Just not for long, for long

We could be
immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals,
Immooooooo- immortals.
There was a time when I was
alone
. Nowhere to go and no place to call
home
My only friend was the
man in the moon
And even sometimes he would go away, too

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my
future
It might be your wound but they're my
sutures
Then one night, as I closed my eyes
I saw a shadow flying high
He came to me with the
sweetest smile
Told me he wanted to talk for awhile
He said, "
Peter Pan

that's what they call
me
.
I promise that you'll never
be lonely
."
And ever since that day...
Oooooooh
I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass
(glass, glass)
Oooooooh
,
I try to picture me without you but I can't
I am a lost boy from
Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter
Pan
And when we're bored we play in the woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
"Run, run, lost boy," they say to
me
.
Away from all of
reality
.
'Cause we could be
immortals, immortals
Just not for long, for long
And
we can live forever now
,
You pull the blackout curtains
down
Just not for long, for long
Neverland is home to lost boys like
me
And lost boys like me are
free
He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe Believe in him and believe in me. Together we will fly away
as wonderful cloud of green.
To your beautiful destiny. As we soared above
the town that never loved me
I realized I finally had a family Soon enough we reached Neverland Peacefully my feet hit the sand And ever since that day...
I am a lost boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the woods Always on the run from Captain Hook "Run, run, lost boy," they say to me. Away from all of reality
Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy Darling
Even Captain
Hook
You are my perfect story
book
Neverland, I love you so,
You are now my home sweet home
Forever a lost boy at last
And for always I will say...

Poetic Devices
There isn't really a moral in the song. This song is based off of the movie Peter Pan and talks about being one of the lost boys in the movie.

Poetic Devices
Here are the 6 poetic devices that I found in this song:
Lyrics
The music blends in really well with the lyrics because the tune is really strong and is really loud and the lyrics really make you feel like you can do anything and be anything.
The music blends in well with the lyrics to this song, because the music is sad and slow and in the song the girl sings about being lonely so the music sounds that way

too.
Here are the six poetic devices that I found in this song.
Poetic Devices

1.Rhyming
There and Air rhyme
2.Rhyming
Me and Be rhyme

"Loser Like Me" repeats 11 times
4.Simile
"Like A Rocket Watch Me Go." They are comparing themselves to a rocket.
5.Assonance
the "A" repeat itself
6.Metaphor
"You can throw your sticks and you can throw your stones" because they aren't actually throwing sticks and stones.
1. Alliteration
Because in the part where it says, "I'm
B
ad
B
ehavior
B
ut I do it the
B
est way", it has the letter B, four times.
2. Rhyme
Because both "
Future
" and "
Sutures
" rhyme together.
3. Metaphor
Because in the song, it says, "
I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass
". They are comparing themselves to the sand in an hourglass without using the words like or as.
1. Personification:
When she says "As we soared above
the town that never loved me
." that is an example of personification because a town can't really love you.

When she says " together we will fly away
as
a wonderful cloud of green" that is an example of a simile.
3. Repetition:
She repeats the line "
Neverland is home to lost boys like me and lost boys like me are free.
"
4. Alliteration:
Peter pan
is a small example of alliteration she uses the sound "p" twice.
5. Rhyme:
Neverland
and
Peter Pan
rhyme together.
6. Personification:
When says " My only friend was
the man in the moon
" there is an example of personification because there is no man in the moon.
