HOT Block Workshop
SSES
HOT Block is a cross-curricular collaboration between classroom teachers and arts essentialists.
An opportunity to support students in their learning through new, creative ways.
An opportunity for colleagues to come together to integrate their specialties and learn from one another.
What Is A HOT Block?
We worked together to teach elaborative detail.
Students learned how to take digital images while on a fall nature walk
They utilized editing skills to choose their best photo
Using their elaborative detail writing skills, students described their photo
Using the VoiceThread app on iPads, students recorded themselves reading their pieces to their digital images.
