Changing Hair Color in Photoshop
Adding a Layer
Use the
brush tool
to paint the hair.
Make sure the color on top is white and the bottom color is black
Saving Your Work
When you are done don't forget to save it!
Getting Started
Upload a picture in Photoshop by clicking
File
and then
Open.
Click
Add Layer Mask
to add the layer you will need to change the color.
Using the Brush Tool
Changing the Layer
Now that the hair is fully colored, click on
Layers
and choose
Soft Light.
And this is how it looks after soft light
Time to change the color!
To change the color click
Image
, then
Adjustments
and finally select
Hue/Saturation
.
Using Hue/Saturation
Click
Colorize
Play with the Lightness, Saturation and Hue to get the color you want
Try to make it as real as possible
Click
File
and then
Save As
and just name your file!
To Save As A Picture click
File
and then
Save As
. This time change the
psd
to
png
or
jpg
