Moles and freckles become bigger and darker while pregnant Problems facing teen moms also include the temptations of drugs and alcohol This worsens their chance for a healthy pregnancy even more because it increases the likelihood of premature brith,still births,etc. Teenage moms usually suffer from low self-esteem Handiling a baby and school along with work and a normal teenage life is impossible to emotionally handle for young girls Statistics Two thirds of all teen pregnancys occur among 18-19 year olds 50% percent of teens have never considered how a pregnancy could affect their lives The U.S. has the highest rate of teen pregnancy in the industrialized world 745,000 teens become pregnant a year Tend to be from families with a history of teen pregnancy

Dont think they're ready to be a father

Get with girls just to get with them, pregnancy doesnt cross thier minds Usually getting a girl pregnant doesnt cross a guys mind because if it happened they wouldnt be the ones pregnant Some guys think it will prevent their ability to live their lives to the fullest and so they dont step up to the responsibility of their actions 68% of teen mothers dont have the father responsible during their pregnancy and the raising of their children They are two times more likely to be subject to voilence and sexual abuse Unstable housing situations, or no room for them to grow up Children of teen mothers are more likely to be born prematuraly and at a low birth weight There are regular conflicts between their family
They are also usually not the adequate weight for a pregnancy and dont gain the right amount of wait during the pregnancy Children fo teen parent are 50% more likely to repeat a grade in school

They have lower performance on stanadarized tests

They are less likely to complete high school then kids from older mothers

Tend to have worse attendance and worse performance than kids that come from older mothers teen mothers are perfectly cabaple pf having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby

with proper nutrition, early prenatal care, and good screening for potential problems

support from the families and the communities is a must for the young new family to be succesful Teen mothers are capable of a healthy birth, with proper prenatal care and plenty of nutrition they can succeed having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby Teen mothers are also liekly to smoke during their pegnancy
