Summary

Many Americans think we should get rid of the penny, many think we should keep it. We have money because of the fact that a 1cent penny cost 2cents to make. We also lost time by sorting and handling the pennies. So why not get rid of it, we think we should.
The cost of making pennies is about 2 cents(that's about double), and in the Penny Debate Time For Kids paragraph 1 & line 1 it states"It began to cost more than a penny to make a penny. It now costs 2cents to make a 1cent coin."
