Early Child development sets the foundation for lifelong learning, behavior and health.
Partnerships with families and communities strengthen the ability of early childhood settings to meet the needs of young children.

Main aim is for the child to gain life skills to become independent, build concentration, and develop motor skills.
Sensorial materials offer systematic
refinement of the senses.
Language is taught through materials that develop the skills required for oral & written language, reading, and self-expression.
Mathematics materials offers a systematic approach to learning about the concept of numbers from concrete to the abstract.
Culture encompasses everything ranging from Science, History, Geography, and Art.

Both Emergent Curriculum and the Montessori philosophy subscribe to ELECT principles. The main difference between the two is the approach. Both methods are geared towards developing all of the domains mentioned in the ELECT Document:
