Adam and Helen's Wedding
Transcript of Adam and Helen's Wedding
If we are lucky the sun will shine on Sunday 20th July and we will have out ceremony outside, otherwise it will be inside Cripps barn. We ask all guests to arrive at 1.30pm as the ceremony will take place at 2pm. The reception will also be held at Cripps barn, so once you’ve arrived all you need to do is relax, mingle, dance a little and raise your glasses at the right time.
Our sit down meal will start at 4pm so we suggest having a big breakfast before heading to Cripps barn. A person cannot live on bubbles alone, or so they say.
A note to parents
We regret that we are unable to accommodate children, except for close family, at our wedding. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please book a babysitter and have more fun yourselves!
If you intend to drive to the venue you can leave your car at Cripps barn overnight providing you can collect it before 10am the following day. We have included taxi numbers on the information sheet for those traveling from their hotels (getting taxis back shouldn’t be a problem but if you want to be organised book your return).
Cripps barn is an isolated 18th century Cotswolds stone barn. Beautiful but remote, the area has very poor phone reception and it might prove a little difficult to find without the help of sat-nav or a detailed map. Please see the printable information sheet for a detailed map and sat nav GPS codes.
There are many choices of accommodation from small B & B’s to larger hotels. Please click the link below for contact details and distance from the venue. The Hare and Hounds Inn is one of the closest and for those who just want a place to rest their heads there is a Travel Lodge in Cirencester. If anyone is keen to camp, you can pitch up or bring a camper van to Cripps barn before the ceremony. Please let the organisers at Cripps know in advance if you wish to do this and be aware that you’ll need to be off the site by 10.00am the next morning.
Please do not feel obliged to buy us a gift, what really matters to us is having you there on our big day. However, if you would like to buy us something we would be most grateful to receive money towards a cocktail or two on our honeymoon. We’ll be sure to raise a glass to you from our Balinese hideaway.
