Jeremy and Lizzy go on a journey to find the keys to the
box
that Jeremy's late father leaves for him as a thirteenth birthday present.
Jeremy's father frequented
flea markets
when he was alive, and Jeremy searches in one for the lost keys.
Jeremy attempts to become
invisible
with Rick's help.
The main character,
Jeremy
, loves sweets, collects mutant candy, and is interested in time machines.
Lizzy
is Jeremy's best friend. She is spunky, has a tendency to steal, and sometimes gets him in trouble.
Jeremy lives in
Manhattan
, and that is where most of the story takes place.
Mr. Oswald, the
pawnbroker
, had Jeremy and Lizzy return items that his grandfather had pawned from children.
The box is filled with
rocks
that represent important moments in Jeremy's father's life.
Jeremy's and Lizzy's
quest
to find the keys took them to many different places and taught them many new things about the universe and life.
