What does it take to finish well?
Intimacy with Christ
- look at Jesus (not circumstances or feelings)
- focus on loving Jesus rather than avoiding sin
- John 1:38 (ESV)
Faithfulness in the spiritual disciplines
- habits of grace can improve our character,
our thinking, and our practice
- will keep us on the path (times of renewal)
A biblical perspective on the circumstances of life
- the Lord lovingly uses trials
A teachable, responsive, humble, and obedient spirit
youth
middle years
- view circumstances in light of God’s character
- he comforts us in our afflictions (2 Cor. 1:3-5)

Humility is the attitude in which the soul realizes that all of life is about trust in God.
