Transcript of Thriving, threatened, endangered and extinct animals

Animals have basic needs just like people do. If the environment they are living in meets their needs, they will thrive. But if the environment they live in doesn't meet their needs, or is too dangerous, the animals living there can become threatened. If the environment does not change, the animals can become endangered or even extinct.
Threatened animals are animals that could become endangered soon if their environment continues to make it difficult for them to survive.
Endangered animals are in serious danger of extinction. There are not many of these animals left.
Extinct animals are animals that are no longer alive. These animals have either been hunted and killed off, or their environments changed too much for them to continue to survive in it.
Thriving animals are animals that have what they need to survive and reproduce. These animals are not in danger of going extinct.
