Texting and driving is a growing epidemic and on to becoming a top cause of death in the U.S Many may think they can multitask between texting and driving, but the numbers do NOT lie....... Texting and Driving Causes... 1,600,000 accidents per year (thats 25% of ALL car accidents in the U.S) 330,000 injuries per year 11 teen deaths EACH DAY Texting and Driving... Is 6 times more likely to cause an accident than driving intoxicated Increases the chances of having an accident by Occurs 800,000 times at ANY given moment Don't believe it?.... 23 TIMES So what can we do? NEVER Text again OR NEVER Drive again (But that's a little unrealistic, don't you think?) the driver

ENDANGERS: Next time you're behind the wheel focus on the road, not on your phone Instead, Try , so you won't be able to use it keeping your phone out of reach Stash your phone in the glove box, backseat, or trunk. (Or strap it to the roof) Download an app that disables your phone while you're driving Have your friend/passenger text for you Silence your phone, so you'll be less tempted to pick it up Simple, We went around VHHS and asked students and faculty if they text and drive. (You might recognize a few people)
