Jesse Owens Won four gold medals in the Summer Olympics. Beat Germans four to zero. Hitler was OUTRAGED! The Summer Olympics were in Berlin, the capital of Germany. Son of a sharecropper and grandson of a slave. Born in Alabama on September 12, 1913- March 31, 1980. Hitler was so mad that he wouldn't even shake Owen's hand after he won his final medal.
Jesse Owens proved to the world and mostly Hitler that Germans weren't "superior" in everything. This event compares most to when Michael Phelps won 8 gold medal in the Beijing Olympics. In both of these events the athlete won many gold medals and when Owens was competing Hitler was very angry that Owens had won so many medals, while when Phelps was competing and won his last medal in the butterfly stroke, many of the serbian fans were angry that he beat the Serbian swimmer Milorad Cavic.
