This support page is about Prezi Classic. If you’re looking for help with Prezi Next, please click here.
When you create a prezi, you don't always have to start from scratch. You can use one of our many pre-designed templates. Templates are a great way to put an eye-catching design to an idea. They can also help to create structure for your prezi. Check out the video to learn more.
Using a template
A choice of templates automatically appears every time you create a new prezi. To access them, simply click the Create a new prezi in the blue button on your prezi dashboard.
Once you do this, a pop-up window will appear with a choice of templates to help you get your prezi started. If you don't want to use a template and instead create a prezi from scratch, select Start a blank Prezi Classic.
After you have selected a template, double-click it or select Use Template to get started. You can then add anything to the template: text, images, videos, and much more.
Editing a template
You can change the background, colors, and fonts of your prezi even after choosing a template.
To edit color scheme
Click Customize in the top toolbar. From here you can select a different theme or choose advanced options.
If you want to choose your own colors, click Advanced... to bring up the Theme Wizard. From here you can change the font and the colors of your prezi. When you’re finished, click Done.
Note: Once you have chosen your theme, the only way to change your prezi to a different template is to cut and paste the content. For more information on how to do this, check out this video tutorial.
To add path steps
Adding more path steps to your template is easy. In Edit Mode, click the “Home” button located on the right side of your canvas or zoom out until you see the objects you wish to add to your path. Select Edit Path on the left sidebar, and then click on your objects in the order you want them to appear. When you’re finished, click Done.
To add a new frame as a path step, select an individual frame type from the left sidebar and drag it to the canvas. This will also automatically add a new path to your prezi. You can also right-click on a frame or object and select Add to Path.
