The Basics of Prezi Classic

This support page is about Prezi Classic. If you’re looking for help with Prezi Next, please click here.

The Prezi Classic editor is the very heart of the Prezi Classic experience. It was created with ease of use in mind and has a carefully selected and developed set of tools that help you communicate and advance your ideas. Watch the video or read on to learn about the Prezi Classic editor.

Zoomable Prezi Classic canvas

Place your text, images, and videos on the Prezi Classic canvas. Then rotate them, navigate between them, and make them as large or small as you want. You can also customize the canvas by using the Theme Wizard.

Top menu

  • Left side: Here you can see your prezi's title, save your prezi, undo your most recent action, or redo something that you just undid.
  • Center: Here you can find all the tools you need to add content and customize your prezi.
  • Right side: Here you can start your presentation, share and access Prezi Classic's collaborative features, change your screen ratio, enable shortcuts, get help, and exit (this will also save) your current Prezi Classic session.

Transformation Tool

This simple tool lets you easily manipulate objects on the zoomable space. Use it to increase and decrease the size of any selected object or text. To bring up the Transformation Tool, simply click on any of your objects on the canvas.

Text boxes

Use text boxes to write and stylize your text. You can click Customize on the top menu and then Advanced to bring up the Theme Wizard and edit your text in more detail.

Home and zoom Buttons

Zoom in and out, or get an overview by clicking the home button. You can find the home and zoom buttons by hovering your mouse on the right side of the canvas.

Here you can add frames to your prezi and also view and edit your path, which is what we call the journey your audience takes through your prezi.
