Transcript of use of trigonometry in space

Uses of Trignometry in space
Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that studies triangles and the relationships between their sides and the angles between these sides.
The first trigonometric table was apparently compiled by Hipparchus,
who is now consequently known as "
the father of trigonometry.
WHAT IS TRIGNOMETRY?
SINθx=adjacent/hypotenuse
COSθx=opposite/hypotenuse
TANθx=opposite/adjacent
COTθx=1/TANθx
COSECθx=1/SINxθ
SECxθ=1/COSxθ
TRIGNOMETRY FUNCTIONS
In 2001, a group of European astronomers did an experiment that started in 1997 about the distance of Venus from the Sun.
The Sun, The Earth, and Venus makes a triangle because the Sun is stationary and the Venus rotates opposite of the Earth.
With the Earth rotating 15 degrees every hour, it was possible to find the angle of Venus to the Earth and the Sun to the Earth.
This research lasted for four years to get accurate measurement. By the time they got All the measurement, they calculate the that Venus was about 105,000,000 kilometers away from the Sun and the Earth was about 150,000,000 kilometers away.
A rocket tracking facility has two radar stations the rocket continuously transmit the angles of elevation to a computer in space station in earth Finding the distance to the rocket from at the sattlite are known by using trignometry
Distance from a Rocket to a Radar Station
By using trignometric functon
cos 30= 4625/x
4625/0.865=x
X=5346.820km
Distance from rocket to space station=5346.820
Distance from space station on earth to satellite is 4625 kms and it is making angle of 30 degrees to the rocket
X=distance from rocket to space station
APPLICATIONS OF TRIGNOMETRY

USES IN SPACE
USES IN SPORTS
USES IN DAILY LIFE

There are an enormous number of uses of trigonometry
USES IN SPORTS
In Cricket
in soccer ,etc
IN CRICKET trigonometry
is used
(HAWK EYE TECHNOLOGY)

for tracking the path of the ball . The computer reads in the video in time, and tracks trealhe path using its speed and angle of deviation
Use in cricket
Trigonometry is commonly used in finding the height of towers and mountains.
It is used in navigation to find the distance of the shore from a point in the sea.It is used in oceanography in calculating the height of tides in oceans

WHERE EVER YOU GO TRIGNOMETRY WILL BE THERE
Not only uses which we had said there are an enormous number of uses of trigonometry
