Why is music used to express people's feelings?
Transcript of Why is music used to express people's feelings?
Why is music used to express people's feelings? Well, music has been used throughout history to help people express their feelings and emotions. According to http://www.livescience.com/25611-why-music-moves-us.html universal emotions such as anger, sadness and happiness are expressed nearly the same in both music and movement across cultures. Our human brains stimulated by food, sex and love are lighted up when we listen to music.
There many people who couldn't talk properly so they used music to express emotions and feelings. Some of these feelings that may come out are that shivers down the spine, laughter, tears and hair standing up. When we think about how music could make move physically, emotionally and spiritually, it can be hard to understand. According to what people said on many websites, when we listen to sad music, unpleasant feelings are come up and makes the person not wanting to listen to sad music.
When we listen to happy and exciting music, it makes us dance and jump on the spot. Music is a mysterious thing and the brain sends special chemicals that make us AMAZING!!! It is a natural thing I guess because the sound makes us happy without explanation. Sometimes, music can remind of specific things so for example, if you are in a relationship and you have good times listening to music together but if you guys break off the relationship, the music that you listened together would remind you of the start of the relationship and the breaking off the relationship.
In movies, the people could be known by the music that is used to make the person known in reality. For example, if there was DJ, the DJ would be known of the music that the DJ plays. Sometimes I feel emotions when I listen to music.
When I listen to smooth music or music that makes us sad, it reminds me of someone I used to hang out with and had a good relationship but then the person you know just ruined your reputation (that is what I think). Music is an important role in our lives. We use it for many things. Psychologists wonder and ponder on this question.
