The bicycle is used by anyone who can afford it. Inventors realized that if the front wheel is bigger then you are able to get more force out of each push of the pedal but you will fall over if you stop suddenly so they made the back wheel bigger and the front wheel smaller to eliminate that problem. Period 1 If I could change something about the bicycle I would make it easier to carry to maneuver and more comfertable to ride. 1886-Today With the invention of the bicycle chain inventors went back to the original design where the wheels were the same size. The wheels were made out of rubber instead of wood or metal. These improvement were made because the rubber tires made the bicycle smoother to ride. By adjusting the wheels to be the same size made it more balanced and for the riders' feet to touch the ground. these improvement was to make the bicycle safer. http://www.pedalinghistory.com/PHhistory.html it was made out of all wood except the handle bar, which was made out of metal. Today The invention of bicycle made transportation easier and faster. It eventually became a sport, today people ride bike for fun or competitions. Like bicycle racing and BMX trick contests. Many people use bikes to get to places faster or simply to exercise. http://www.ohtm.org/bicycle_page.html
