Sodium (Na)
Sir Humphrey Davy discovered Sodium in England, 1907, and derived from the word for soda in Latin.
Sodium is used in table salt, street lights, baking soda, and is important in soap, pertroleum, and paper in the form of sodium hydroxide (NaOH). It is also one of the more abundant minerals in the Earth's crust.
