One of my jobs is to 'de-brand' my students. As a technician or engineer you consider technology objectively, not emotionally as a consumer does.
I teach computer technology!
There is pressure to brand ourselves and teach within a closed digital ecosystem...
My approach has always been that of a technician: you choose the best tool for the job based on an objective view of what it can do
