STANFORD UNIVERSITY - A CRASH COURSE ON CREATIVITY
FINAL ASSIGNMENT (2June2013)
MINDSET OF AN INNOVATOR Bernice's Reflections BERNICE'S FAILED RESUME Academic
I did not pursue my artistic passion as my career eg. Graphic Design, Interior Design. I studied Construction Economics & I'm a Cost Planner/ Quantity Surveyor for 15 yrs
Career
I tend to analyse/ think too much before acting which may lead to lost opportunities
My attention to detail which may mean lost time in minor details
Personal
My critical side which may hurt people unintentionally WHAT I LEARNT &
WILL DO DIFFERENTLY I found other avenues of my passion for Art eg. Photography, Abstract Painting, hand made cards, jewellery etc.
I’ve learnt to be more spontaneous and reminded myself that you only live once! Carpe Diem! Seize the moment & opportunity!
I weighed up the pros and cons of the need for perfectionism and agreed that sometimes you just have to let things go…
I have learnt to be tactful and sensitive to peoples’ feelings over the years My Reflections
from the Creativity Course THANK YOU TINA & EVERYONE!
I enjoyed this crash course on creativity tremendously and thank Lizz my dear friend for encouraging me to join.
It has helped me reframe the way I look at things everyday with a creative mind.
I was able to explore my creative side and think outside the box and put it to use! At work, at home, everywhere!
I have learnt a lot of news skills eg. book cover using images & powerpoint, mind map using photos & different media, prezi and video, which I would definitely use in future!
I wished I got to know and connect with more people on the course.
