Cerberus:

Cerberus is a three headed dog with a mane of blood-hungry serpents,
the tail of a dragon and the sharp claws of a lion.

Heracles was the famous hero, who traveled to the underworld to capture the beast with his brute strength..... only!
he was weaponless and alone, but that did not stop the great hero.
Scylla and Charybdis...

scylla was a horrifying monster with six heads , each with a row of gnashing sharp teeth. she had 12 feet and her body was composed of barking dogs.

Charybdis is a monster with a gaping mouth to suck all the water in and spit it out at passing sailors.

They both used to be beautiful maidens, but zeus changed their lives.....
Medusa...

Odysseus sailed past Scylla and Charybdis but lost 6 men
Perseus killed Medusa but injured himself badly
Heracles captured Cerberus as his twelfth and final labor
