Transcript of Kim Hunt's Philosophy of Physical Education

Philosophy of Education
By: Kim Hunt
As a physical education teacher I
am committed to providing
opportunities for all students to
grow physically, emotionally,
and mentally.
It is my goal to
provide all students with a
multitude of developmentally
appropriate activities that
include movement,
fitness, sports, recreation
activities and dance.
As a physical education
teacher, I encourage all students to enjoy a variety of activities that teach a life-long enjoyment and love of
physical activity!
I value physical activity
and the well-being of myself and my future students. I expect my students to participate, succeed, and stay interested in physical activity and good health for a lifetime.

Everyone can benefit from
regular exercise, yet today’s kids
are not spending sufficient time
engaged in active play…they are
becoming more sedentary!
In my classroom
I truly believe learning
should be meaningful and fun.
I also believe great things happen
when we work together!
Cooperation and collaboration are
strongly valued. I work hard to
build a sense of community among
my students, and I emphasize
the idea of teamwork.
