SOLAR ENERGY
SOLAR ENERGY COMES FROM SOLAR PANELS THAT REACT WITH THE SUNS RAYS. THERE ARE SILICON CELLS IN THE SOLAR PANEL THAT REACT WITH THE PROTONS OF LIGHT. THIS REACTION PRODUCES DC ELECTRICITY. THIS ELECTRICITY THEN TRAVELS TO A CONVERTER AND IS TRANSPORTED TO A DISTRIBUTION CENTER. THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER THEN SENDS THE ELECTRICITY TO THE PLACES IT IS NEEDED.
HYDRO-ELECTRIC
HYDRO ELECTRIC ENERGY COMES FROM DAMMING A LAKE. THE WATER FROM THE LAKE FLOWS THROUGH THE DAM AND SPINS TURBINES. THE TURBINES THEN CONVERT THE MOVEMENT INTO ELECTRICITY USING A GENERATOR.
NUCLEAR
NUCLEAR ENERGY COMES FROM SPLITTING URANIUM ATOMS USING A PROCESS CALLED FISSION (URANIUM ATOMS ARE USED BECAUSE THEIR NUCLEAS SPLITS EASILY). URANIUM IS PLACED IN RODS AND THEN THE RODS ARE PUT IN WATER.WHEN THE ATOMS ARE SPLIT THE WATER IS HEATED WHICH PRODUCES STEAM. THE STEAM THEN SPINS TURBINES WHICH PRODUCES

GEOTHERMAL ENERGY IS PRODUCED BY HEATING WATER WITH ROCKS IN THE EARTHS CRUST. WATER IS PUMPED THROUGH VERY HOT ROCKS UNDER THE EARTHS CRUST THAT TURN THE WATER INTO STEAM. THE STEAM THEN SPINS TURBINES WHICH PRODUCE ELECTRICITY.

MOST OF THESE DO NOT POLLUTE THE AIR AT ALL, UNLIKE FOSSIL FUELS. FOSSIL FUELS ARE THE MAIN SOURCE OF ENERGY RIGHT NOW. THEY INCLUDE: COAL, OIL, AND GAS. FOSSIL FUELS ARE NOT RENEWABLE, BUT ALTERNATIVE ENERGY IS. USING ALL THESE FACTORS, I THINK THAT ALTERNATIVE ENERGY IS THE FUEL OF THE FUTURE.
