The course
Este curso está basado en un enfoque comunicativo, que prepara a los estudiante para una vida en inglés. Vocabulario y gramática son de mucha importancia y también se hace mucho refuerzo en listening y speaking para situaciones sociales. Los estudiantes tienen un gran cantidad de oportunidades para estudiar un nuevo idioma atrevez de actividades comunicativas que están completamente compatibles con el CEF. Dándole a los estudiantes oportunidades constantes de evaluar sus conocimientos. Cada nivel tiene aproximadamente 80 horas de material de enseñanza.

The Course
Go English Live Platform es un curso virtual compuesto de clase vídeo, hecha por profesionales y con la idea de que hay un estudiante al otro lado de la pantalla participando con él. Se requiere mucha participación por parte del estudiante, como repetir a voz alta los temas propuestos, y tomar nota en un cuaderno. Con solo ver los vídeos, no es suficiente, tienen que tomar cada clase con el compromiso de aprender bien el tema. Utilizando herramientas virtuales se extrae el vocabulario y se hacen ejercicios para que practiquen y de verdad aprendan el tema propuesto. Solo con tener la clase dominada es que se debe seguir a la próxima. Hay foros en la parte de abajo correspondientes a cada clase. Aproveche esta sección para demostrar que puede usar lo visto en clase. Cada unidad tiene un examen final que queda registrado en nuestro sistema.

Este es un curso donde cada unidad dura 3 meses. Donde aprenderán Ingles basado en el Marco Común Europeo, Que nos detalla los temas por cada nivel. Los participantes van a tener una metodología hecha para aprender el paso de cada estudiante, donde pueden tomar el tiempo necesario para completamentar y dominar el tema propuesto.

3. Start classes- each teacher has the opportunity to use his/her own style- remember that the books are guides and should be used as such. Don't stick to it word by word.
4. Tips
a. don't read directions- each teacher should explain the directions to students. It helps give the class momentum.

b. tell the students at the begining of class what they are going to see today. it helps them to know and pace your class.

The courses is not based on grammar, so don't worry. each class has a specific situation that is discussed, and when you prepare your class you can see the grammar structure they are reviewing, the back of the book has further examples and you have to take a look before hand. Don't show the students that part. its better for you to explain in your own words. And well you are the teacher- And for them you are already supposed to know everything. Its ok not to know everything but you have to impress them as much as posible.
Comunicational method
what does that mean, Each student has to talk as much as possible, each class has up to 3 students, they are the center of attention, talk and explain, have them participate as much as possible.
you have to become an expert in inciting conversation
Keeps the class moving and makes time go by faster.
5. Review before the exam.
1. at the end of the chapter. It's really important to do. start with it and just check understanding.
2. Word in context- platform activity where students and see the important vocab in context.
6. Final Exam- every student has to take their final exam on the platform to make sure they got every thing. Each exam gets registered and

Computers play an important part in learning- if they have a question you can answer , google it, if something interesting comes up you can look it up, find an interesting topic.read about it and use real English.

All of our attendance is done online , every teacher has to have a G-mail account, One will usually be created for for by the company.
The attendance is all set up for you a month in advance and you can see what classes you have coming up. Its very important to announce changes and be very clear on what you do in each class.

Advice to all teachers
Its OK to talk about personal topics but be careful not to go to far, remember students are paying per hour so they might feel uncomfortable , they wont tell you but they will tell me.
In every class your students have to learn something. It doesn´t matter how small,so at the end of class ask yourself what they learned, lets say you have a conversational class, and just talk all class, well make sure they learn something. If not they will not like your class at an unconscious level. Conversational activities help structure a free formed class.
Structured classes- Ok when we follow a particular structure in a class, this is the only way to have students for a very long time, You as a teacher have to arrive to class and say ,,, ok this is what we have planned for today never ask them what they want to do today. When something comes up in class and you deviate from topic try to keep it educational and have the capacity to stop and get back to the original class topic.
He who pays the piper, calls the tune
ok.so think about this expression ,as it relates to teaching because we are going to find students that believe they now exactly what they want to be taught, which 90% of the time is not true they end up hating there classes and not lasting more then in a month, its your job to tell them what they need and they will love you for it.
If a student is telling you how and what he wants to see in class, that is a good sigh that you are not doing your job correctly..... be careful
At the end of every class ask yourself if you just gave a good class, and if the answer is no which let's face it , it happens. So right after class start to prepare your next class and make sure you hit it out of the park.

Student Levels
Go English Live has placements exams on the platform set up to place students in the correct guide book.
Students have to choose which one is best for them, Business or Normal

We recommend that students start back up from where they left off in there past class, be it 1 year or 5 years.
When students start at the level they were in previously, Teachers have to be able to stop and go back to basic information that might have been forgotten, be careful not to spend to much time explaining things they should already know. Remember you are not teaching t for the first time you are just helpinghe remember. ,

Sit or Stand
Most of our classes are small groups so sitting is more common, But don´t be lazy get up, walk and go to the board.
Remember if you don´t have a board it is great to use a class notebook where you register everything just like a board.
What happens when you have a class with two people and one doesn´t come.

Try something different, you probably have access to other material on the platform, always have a side class prepared for this situation,
What happens when one student arrives late.
Its always good to have the students who are in class to catch the late student up. It really helps and makes it uncomfortable for the late student and it will probably not happen again.
Mistakes
There are different kinds of mistakes
1st
They make the mistake and they don't realize it
2nd
They make it , they know its wrong but they don´t know how to fix it
3rd
They make the mistake and they themselves fix the mistake.
Sometimes only by looking at them
When correcting
Be careful not correct them in the middle of the sentence.
Don't break the train of thought
Be careful, when other students correct the other students, thats the teachers job.
Experienced teachers can notice a mistake and then later on discuss it and make sure everyone understands without pointing out the student who made the mistake.
Ah ha moments
