For S1, a situation that could have resulted in the supply increase would be that more people didn't want to buy the ipods or couldn't afford them, even though the producer set the price thinking it would be best for the product. this would be "E" in "ROTTEN" for Expectations of the producer.

For S2, a situation that could have resulted in the supply decrease would be that the company would lower the prices and more people would have bought them, this would be the "R" in "ROTTEN" for Resource: Cost and Availability.
