where is Bali located?
How big is Bali?
Bali has an area of 5632 square km. There are six volcanos on Bali. The highest, Mt. Agung is an active volcano 3142 metres high.

Population of Bali

Religions and languages
Most Balinese are Hindus but there are also many Musilims and some Christians. Most people speak Balinese and Indonesian and many can speak English.
Tourism
Tourism is the most important industry in the south.
Bali is part of Indonesia. The capital city is Denpasar and is the largest city on a island of Bali. Bali is located close to the equator and has a year round temperature between 20 and 30 degrees Celcius.
More than 3 million Balinese people live on the island mostly along the coast in the south.
Growing products
Farmers grow rice, tea, coffee, tabaco cacoa, copra, vanilla, fruit and vegetables. Fishing and seaweed farming are important industries too other industries include clothing, textles, jewellery, silverware, furniture, handcrafts and souvenier products.
animals of bali
once tigers and elephants lived on Bali but they are now extinct on the island. Over 300 species of birds live on Bali and there is an abundance of marine life. Many species of monkeys live in Bali including Long-tailed Macaques.
flora
A dozen kinds of coconuts palms grow in Bali. Other flora include bamyan, tamarind, clove and acacia trees.
Conclusion
Bali is a popular destination for Australian tourists.
