weight and appearance issues around the world
Transcript of weight and appearance issues around the world
Most likely to blame genetics: Seventy percent of Russians said their weight problems are inherited, followed by Germans (61 percent) and Indians (50 percent). In the United States, 20 percent of respondents blamed their genes for a weight problem. Most likely to blame Americans: More than any country surveyed, the French were most likely to blame American eating habits and American fast-food companies for spreading obesity. i cant say there is a solution to this problem of never feeling good enough, or pretty, but we can all work together to make one another feel better about ourselfs. so my "solution" so to say would to walk around and tell everyone i see how beautiful they are. with the media hounding us to
look a certain way and act and
talk a certain way. most of us feel
out of place and unaccepeted
because of our weight issue. this casues
alot of teens to take on an eating disorder.
such as anorexia, bullimia, ect. that kill you sooner
or later. parker-pope, tara. "weight issues around the world." new york times company 14 january 2010: 678-24. Web. 20 May 2010. <http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/14/weight-issues-around-the-world/>.
