Daniel Defoe Born: 1659 in London England
Died: April 24th, 1731 Defoe went to prison when he was 25 for handing out written pamphlets opposing the government. Defoe's most famous novel was Robinson Crusoe. It has been made into a famous movie and is read in many schools. “It is better to have a lion at the head of an army of sheep, than a sheep at the head of an army of lions”
