Why Does Isolation Happen ?
-Isolation can happen because of all sorts of past situations for example; someone has experienced a social interaction with an individual or a group of people that was not successful and they are afraid to experience this again.

-People that are in abusive relationships tend to keep to themselves and not participate in social interactions other than with their partner.

This happens to astronauts that are in high pressure and in high risk environments, 420km above the earth causes astronauts to be isolated from much human contact
The elderly that are brought to nursing homes experience very strong isolation from others

Who is affected by
Isolation?

-Isolation can cause hallucinations; first a person will see different points of light or lines and shapes. This would eventually become bizarre scenarios.

-Isolation can confuse a persons sense of time

-Isolation leads to stress and personality changes, for example; somebody who is very patient person becomes very impatient and angry when experiencing isolation.

-People who are isolated and lonely are more likely to develop Alzheimers disease, dementia and tumor growth.

-Isolation can cause imagined sensations of touch. For example; a man when isolated had the feeling that when he touched a doorknob, he felt an electric shock

-Isolation can affect people of all ages.

-The effects of isolation can be greater the older the person is, that experiences it. This is due to how they are more capable of processing information.
