My Mum was born in Charters Towers.

Cemetery
George was buried in the Prisoner of War cemetery in Eckern Forde, Germany with a stone erected by his comrades.

In 1919, George was later reburied in the Allied Cemetery in Hamburg, Ohlsdorf. George's grave is Plot 1, row F, Grave number 5.

the ship that George Henry
Richardson embarked on from Brisbane
30 March 1916. Numbered A16.
HMAT STAR OF VICTORIA was a
9,152 ton Commonwealth and
Dominion Line Ltd (Liable for the Debt) ship registered in London. Capable of 13.5 knots, and later re-named Port Melbourne it (she) passed from the Commonwealth control on the 2nd of October 1917, one year after this picture was taken.
