Transcript of Career Anaylsis- Laboratory animal caretakers #1
By: Brooke Weeks The responsibilities for this career is to, make sure they have enough food and water, post - operative care to animals, admister medicines, bathe animals, clean there cages, perpare samples for lab experiments, etc. There is no degree needed but it would be a good idea to have a major in, animal science, animal care, biology, wildlife, ecology, and zoology. Some colleges that major in this career is, Penn Foster college, Brevard community college, and University of Florida. The average salary for the United States is between 15,700-31,900. For the average salary of Florida it would be, 16,000- 25,300. I think in 10 years this career will expand into more businees because, it shows that in the next 5-7 years there will be a 21% more jobs for this career. The highest demand would probably be everywhere. The customers that come into this job is, pets and there owners. They work with other businesses by getting supplies and food for the animals. The problems that need to be solved are to help the animals to get better. Math is used everyday, they have to measure how much animals weight, how much food they get, they have to know how much medicine to give them, etc.
