Gareth Bale By Matthew David Calder Born 16th July 1989 in Cardiff Wales. Plays as a left winger for Tottenham Hotspur & Wales. When he was young Bale achieved a grade A in PE for his GCSEs. In his youth years bale played for
Cardiff Civil Service Football Club. Bale's Favorite Player growing up was fellow Welsh footballer Ryan Giggs. Bale at the age of nine caught the attention of Southampton while playing in a six-a-side tournament for his youth club. Bale is one of many great young players to have come through the Southampton Academy. In 2006 at the age of 16, Bale
debut against Millwall and achieved his first league goal against Derby County. In the same year Bale was awarded BBC Wales Young Sports Personality of the Year and was named the Football League Young Player of the Year aswell. Bale played for Southampton during 2005-2006 and in 2007 Bale signed a 4 year deal for Tottenham Hotspur. While playing for Tottenham, Bale achieved his first Premier league goal against Fulham. Bale plays number 11 for Tottenham. During his Career Bale has scored a total of 45 goals and has made 229 appearances in total for club & Country. In 2010 Bale helped Tottenham Hotspur achieve 4th place in the Premier league which allowed them to qualify for the Champions League for the first time ever. Tottenham Hotspur was highly doubted to perform well in the champions league but they proved everyone wrong by winning against AC & Inter Milan but were sadly knocked-out by Real Madrid. Bale Scored a memorable Hat-Trick against Inter Milan who were the champions at the time & through that Hat-Trick Bale was regraded one of Football's greats and drew interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid & Chelsea but stayed at Tottenham. During Bale's Tottenham career, he has helped the club win the Carling Cup in 2008. This Year Bale helped Tottenham win against Man UTD at Old Trafford for the time since 1989 and Bale also achieved his first Preimer League Hat-Trick against Aston Villa. Bale has won many awards including Tottenham Hotspur Football Club 'Young Player Of The Year, Football League Young Player of the Year & many more. Bale has many attributes including great speed & acceleration, good crossing & free kick taking & an awesome left foot which makes him one of footballs greats. Finally here is a video which shows why Bale is a good young footballer who can only get better.
