Why is exercise so important?
Exercise is another big part of staying healthy
Good sleep habits

-Helps weight problems
-Combats health conditions and sickness

-Improves blood pressure
Exercise can be anything that involves being active
-Walking or Biking instead of driving
-Playing on a sports team
-Taking stairs instead of elevators
Doctors suggest at least 30 min a day of physical exercise to stay healthy
-Taking care of your body

-Getting the recommended amount of sleep (9 hours)
Importance of sleep
The importance of sleep
-People who are sleep deficient are less productive at work and school.
-Sleep deficiency also has been linked to depression, suicide, and risk-taking behavior.
-Sleep supports healthy growth and development
(you only grow when you are asleep).
Sleep helps maintain a healthy balance of the hormones that make you feel hungry (ghrelin) or full (leptin).
While you're sleeping, your brain is preparing for the next day. It's forging new pathways to help you learn and remember information.
