Oneness in Homes and Church
Transcript of Oneness in Homes and Church
Confusion of Substance
Confusion of Personality
There is one God that manifests Himself in three different ways.
There is One God
“5 I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, 6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.”
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all the One true God
“17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
1 Man that is:
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”
1 Timothy 2:5
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”
“You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!”
The Father is God:
"Grace to you and peace hfrom God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ"
The Son is God:
"But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom."
The Spirit is God:
" 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie yto the Holy Spirit and zto keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? 4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but ato God.”
There is no doctrinal truth that has more to bring to bear on our understanding of oneness in our homes and church than the Trinity.
