The Troll Wall, in Norway's Romsdalen valley, has long been a favourite haunt of BASE jumpers, although the practice has been banned here since 1986, due to the difficulty of rescuing injured jumpers, or retrieving the bodies of deceased ones. Eight have lost their lives leaping from the Troll Wall.
Burj Khalifa , DUBAI
Several BASE jumpers have leapt off the world's tallest building since its construction began in 2004. In 2008, Frenchman Herve Le Gallou and Briton David McDonnell breached security by dressing as engineers, before jumping off a balcony just below the 160th floor. And in 2010, authorities permitted two BASE jumpers to leap from a crane attached to the 160th floor, allowing them to break the world record for the highest BASE jump from a building.
"This is a shot of the last drop off in the big canyon of the Rio Santo Domingo," recalls kayaker Rafael Ortiz of this moment on the steepest known kayakable whitewater sequence in the world, found in Chiapas, Mexico. "I was feeling totally stoked and high-energy when dropping the last 50 feet." This section of the river, which carves a path near the Guatemala border, tumbles over the rocks at an average slope of 1,900 feet per mile.
Skydiving began with Andre-Jacques Garnerin who made successful parachute jumps from a hot-air balloon in 1797. It is now an extremely popular extreme sport that is constantly pushing the boundaries even further see below

Paragliding is an extreme sport where the pilot sits in a harness suspended below a hollow fabric wing whose shape is formed by its suspension lines, the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing and the aerodynamic forces of the air flowing over the outside. Despite not using an engine, paraglider flights can last many hours and cover many hundreds of kilometres. Paragliders are unique among soaring aircraft in being easily portable. The complete equipment packs into a rucksack and can be carried easily on the pilot’s back
Cave diving is a type of technical diving in which specialized scuba equipment is used to enable the exploration of natural or artificial caves which are at least partially filled with water.
Rock climbing in Turkey
