About Kazue Kato Kazue Kato (Kato Kazue), born on July 20, 1980 in the district of Shinjuku. She is a Japanese mangaka, author of shonen manga. She created a manga book called Ao no Exorcist. She also created Robo to Usakichi for which she received the prize Osamu Tezuka Award. She ranked 31st in Anime News Network's list of top 50 Manga Creators by Sales since 2010. Her sales were 2,218 Yen. In the year 2000, at age 19, she won the Tezuka Awards for her work Boku to Usagi (Rabbit and I) published in Akamaru Jump. From 2005 to 2006 her series Robo to Usakichi, a sci-fi adventure featuring a rabbit (again) was published in the monthly magazine Shonen Sirius. Her latest series, Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist), began in Jump Square in April, 2009.
