FAITH OR FEAR
FONTS
Response
Rahab and the people of the land's response to the events were they were fearful and afraid. They realized that God was the God of the heavens and the earth. They found a new respect for God. Rahab learned to trust God, by trusting that he wouldn't make her house collapse in Jericho when she helped the spies. They turned to God for help.
Althought the people of America were scared God helped America rebuild and helped them move on from the national crisis of 9/11
Crisis
9/11
9/11 was a On September 11, 2001, nineteen terrorists boarded four airpplanes. Their goal was to crash the planes into American buildings.
Only one out of four did not hit their targeted location.
It was at 8:19AM that a flight attendant on American Airlines Flight 11 first said to the airline that a hijacking was happening on one of their planes. About half an hour later, at 8:46 American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The entire crew, all eighty-one passengers and an unknown number of people inside the building were killed on impact.
Ten minutes later Flight 11 took off. The terrorists had a different target this time, The Pentagon, in Virginia the plane hit the Mall side of the Pentagon, killing the crew and all fifty-eight passengers, as well as civilians and military inside the building.

Flight 175 was leaving the gate and preparing for take off from the same place. Flight 175 was set to follow the same path as flight 11. News had already spread that a plane had hit one of the towers at the World Trade Center. At 9:03AM flight 175 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. All those who were aboard, including fifty-six passengers, were killed.
United Airlines Flight 93 is probably the best known of the four flights of 9/11. Because of a delay in take-off of forty-two minutes, passengers had time to learn of the fate of three other flights. Terrorists had already taken control of the plane that had left the airport in Newark, New Jersey, at 8:42AM. When passengers began making the terrorists made no attempt to stop them. That was when they realized that they weren’t the only hijacked plane in the sky. Knowing that there was little chance for their own survival, passengers said goodbye to families and friends. The terrorist gave up his attempt to reach his destination. He rolled the plane onto its back, screaming, “Mohammed is the greatest!” into the radio as the plane drove into the ground around Shanksville, Pennsylvania. All aboard were killed on impact, but there were no fatalities on the ground. Some speculate that his destination was the White House.
When the tragedy of 9/11 happened America was afraid, just like the people of the land. Airport security had tightened majorly, and families were traveling less. People were holding on to their loved ones and many people were turning to God. A lot of people started going to church a lot more, and praying more. When bad things happen people turn to God. We fear our Lord, and when something happens that strikes fear in us we turn to him for guidance and help, just as the people of America did when 9/11 happened.
