Selections from Student Portfolios AP Studio Art: 3D Design Rachel Doktor Kelly O'Shea April McMillion Instructor: Mr. Johnson Kelsey Milks Mark Starczewski Amanda Richley Sam Sobczak Concentration Idea:
"The focus of my concentration is to render various musical instruments as line and form using various types of wire."

"I am very interested in the tactile quality of metal in various forms such as corroded, bent, twisted, polished, etc." "...also in combination with other materials..." Concentration Idea:
"The focus of my concentration came from the idea of taking human emotions and rendering them visually, with the intention of evoking a similar sense of feeling of that emotion."

"The initial focus of my concentration was based on the idea of water ranging from soft to destructive. I began to create abstract interpretations of different waves. I created these waves in different states which became very stylized. While working on these sculptures I became interested in artist's different interpretations of waves. The style of artist Katsushika Hokusai was brought to my attention."

"The focus of my concentration is an exploration of abstract form utilizing geometric shapes."

"The focus of my concentration is to render 3-D interpretations of books using the actual text or book itself."

"What does it mean to be human? Can we truly categorize human behavior by visual representation alone? I have sought to categorize these emotions. My concentration is based on the different aspects of what it means to be human. Using mixed media, I rendered sculptures that correlate to various bahaviors or emotions.
