Loving the Ruler

Soul
Mind
Strength
Mark 12:35-40
Love the True God
A Declaration of Deity
A Revealing of Scribal Weakness
Love the Lord your God
Love His Ruling Power
Psalm 110:1-2

"1 The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” 2 The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies!"
We love and glorify God more as we recognize and submit to His glorious rule. As we increase in our comprehension of how He rules we increase in our understanding of His character. As we increase in our understanding of his character we glorify Him more and as we glorify Him more, we love Him more.
Love Him for Conquering His Enemies
We love God more as we anticipate and experience His enemy conquering power in us and in this world.
vs. 1b "until I make your enemies your footstool"
vs. 5-6 "5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. 6 He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth."
