Met the men at bars and got them intoxicated

Aileen’s first trial, believed by many that Tyria and cops were conspiring to make a Hollywood deal about Aileen Wuornos. This was never investigated.

What is a serial killer?
A serial killer is typically defined as a person who murders three or more people over a period of more than 30 days, with a "cooling off" period between each murder, and whose motivation for killing is largely based on psychological gratification.

Murdered 17 people
Took polaroids of his victims in strange positions
First killed in 1978 then stayed dormant for 6 years
Aileen Wuornos

Childhood of Aileen Wuornos
Born February 29, 1956
Her parents, Diane and Leo, married at age 14.
Father was in jail for sex crimes (sodomy) against children.
At 4, Aileen’s mother abandoned her and brother Keith.
Known as man-hating lesbian murderer
At 9, Aileen was giving blow jobs and having sex in return for cigarettes and drugs.
At 13, pregnant; the father could have been her grandfather, brother, or the local pedophile, Chief.
Grandfather kicked her out; she supported herself by prostituting and lived in the woods for two years
At 16 she left home and moved to Florida.
Died October 9, 2002
“I cannot die as a liar. It was 1st degree murder and robbery.”
“The police knew about the first murder, but allowed me to go on killing to create a high profile case for books and movies.”
Although she argued that she was sane and competent, throughout her entire case she displayed concerns for the need of a psychological evaluation:
Suspected to have multiple or borderline personality disorder or paranoid schizophrenia
Aileen need to pass three psychiatric evaluations by different doctors. They all three passed her on as a candidate for execution within 15 minutes and gave a “thumbs up.”

She prostituted along Florida highways
Killed her victims with a handgun, dumped their bodies on the side of the highway, robbed them, and stole their cars.

Jeffrey felt guilt of his mothers sickness. This apathy was evident as was his internal suffering, but he was never able to communicate such feelings.

Have a stonger reasoning behind their murders.

More thought put into the way they will kill their victim and when.

Less reasoning behind their murders.
Kill more often for sexual gratification.
Dahmer picked up a nineteen-year-old hitchhiker named Steven Hicks and invited him home. Dahmer smashed his skull and strangled him. Then dismembered the body and put the pieces into plastic bags. He was eighteen.
1st Murder
Jeffrey expressed remorse about his actions during his trial. He also tried to plead guilty by reason of insanity.
Jeffrey was beaten to death with a broomstick while in prison on November 28th 1994.
Aileen was executed on October 9th, 2002.
