Now a days, the average salary of a writer is between $33,000 to $44,000, but unfortunately the unemployment rate will be of 5.4% by 2020. Furthermore, between 2010 and 2020 there will be 7,100 job openings, the higher number of opening jobs will be in 2015 with 700 jobs, and the lowest in 2020 with only 500. Moreover, this job has a lot of competence, specially in 2020 there will be a lot of competence in this job area. In conclusion, as you can see it is not very easy to get a job in this industry, and even more difficult to get a job that pays you well being a writer. I personally think you need a lot of talent and dedication to succeed with this job.
